BREC's Perkins Road Park is CLOSED due to construction.  With a sponsorship contribution made by BREC and a few other organizations, the Children's Village will be open, but in a different location.

All activities will take place on the Pennington property.

The Children's Village will be open August 7th and 8th, from 4:00 p.m. – dusk (approximately 8:00 p.m).

The Children's Village will include a host of FREE activities and fun for the entire family. Some of the activities include: pony rides, rock wall, inflatables, face painting, arts and crafts, and much more.

BREC will host a Family Fun Run on Saturday, August 8th at 7:00 a.m.
This family oriented run/walk is on a two-mile course that begins at the eastern entrance of the Pennington Biomedical facility and takes contestants through the grounds, around the lake and to Quail Dr. on the southern end of the property before returning back to the eastern entrance. While participating in the race, everyone will enjoy the beautiful view of the Hot Air Balloons in flight.
